It looks like we had some technical difficulties during our show today that prevented some of you from hearing a portion of the broadcast. We apologize, and will hopefully not have that issue for future shows.
Show notes coming soon… thanks for listening!
Update: After reviewing the playback from today’s show, we’ve decided that since the bulk of the show was “dead air” due to the difficulties we were experiencing, that we will be deleting this episode. Sorry.
Here’s hoping next week goes more smoothly…
Here’s a little taste of what we’ll be talking about on our next show for Saturday, February 13th:
- Throwing snowballs is now a felony?!
- Six year old girl committed to a mental facility after unruly behavior in school
- SNOWPOCALYPSE 2010… 49 out of 50 states now have snow on the ground. (Sucks to be you, Hawaii!)
- Another university shooting incident, this time in Huntsville, AL… when will people stop with the entitlement complexes?!
- Best and worst Super Bowl ads (hint: GoDaddy is not on the list of “best ads”, in case you were wondering…)
…plus music from slowEarth, GirlShawn with celebrity gossip, some possible guests in studio, and (hopefully) your calls live on air! You know you’re just going to be sitting around eating French toast anyways… why not make your day much more fun by tuning in to Irreverent Radio? 3pm Eastern, right here on the website (use the blue player in the right sidebar to listen live).
Bob Barr takes on DNA database expansion proposal — Peach Pundit.
Wow. There are so many things wrong with this bill that I could probably fill up 2 hours along on the obvious destruction of personal rights and liberties that this bill brings up.
HB1033 is yet another one of those laws that while it looks good initially, it delves into all sorts of major constitutionality issues. More on Saturday.
GOP seems miffed by its front-runner | ajc.com.
I’m not a huge fan of Oxendine. I’ve never hidden that. The guy, while appearing all shiny and new on the outside, reeks of garbage once the veneer begins to get stripped away. Much like the quote in the article, “‘The older I get, the less I listen to what people say, and the more I watch what people do.’” I just don’t see what Oxendine has “done” that warrants his front-runner status. More on the show on Saturday.
Hey everyone! Thanks for tuning in to our debut episode. Despite some technical difficulties resulting in less-than-stellar audio quality, we had a blast hanging out with all of you and look forward to doing it again at the same time next week. From now on, we’ll be doing a 2 hour time slot instead of 1 hour (3-5pm ET) to allow us more time to take your calls and discuss all sorts of irreverent things.
As far as links from the stuff we discussed with you on today’s show, here we go (updated w/ Rick’s links!)…
- Student wears Colts jersey to school in Louisiana; harassed by principal
- Rahm Emanuel’s ignorant comments to his colleagues during a budget meeting
- 15-year old girl becomes pregnant after giving a blowjob… but there’s more to the story!
- Georgia moves early to ban microchip implants for humans
- Georgia’s “super speeder” law
And, as promised, since we didn’t get to play any music by slowEarth this week, here are some links to their stuff. We’ll try and get things fixed for next week so that you can actually hear one of their songs during the show.
That’s it for now… check ya next week, bitches! Don’t forget to listen to us every Saturday at 3pm ET… another chance to win a $10 iTunes gift card on next week’s show! Congratulations to Brian G, who won this week’s prize.

So, there you have it. Lady GaGa as Marilyn Manson?
And because you’re such a good little internet listener… Anne Hathaway in British GQ – damn, she’s hot as heck!
